I. President’s Report and Old Business:
Dr. Owner requested half of the money slotted for professional development. The teachers use the money for conferences and professional training. The money is also used to pay substitutes; Fairfax County does not cover their pay. She also introduced the forth grade teachers who were in attendance, and expressed her thanks to parents for their kindness during the holiday season.
Ribbons will be handed out soon for the Character Education program. The Croc Stock program is still in full swing.
The attendees listened to a description by Mr. Morris of the Drama Club that is available to 4th through 6th grades.

Sheila Dixon thanked the parents for all their help and support. She reminded attendees of the Pasta night next Friday evening and the collection for the tsunami victims.

The address will be posted soon so that we can write thank you notes to Safeway for all of their fundraising assistance. You can still order on Innsbruk (online) for a while yet and the school gets credit.
Jeanne asked for volunteers for a nominating committee. Sarah Weller volunteered to be on the committee. There will be openings for FLEX Chair, Secretary, Education VP and Membership Chair among others.
Jeanne mentioned all of the thank you cards received from the teachers for their holiday gifts.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:35 pm, so that the attendees could listen to a Reading presentation by Mrs. Markon. The next PTA Meeting will be held February 2, 2005 at 7:00 pm.
